Stop Creak is designed specifically to solve squeaky floor problems. It penetrates the floor and coat the interlocking sections of the click system floor with a hard-wearing, frictionless resin. Stop Creak is oil-free, odorless, and non-flammable. It is the only product in the world that is designed to silence creaky wood and laminate floors without nails, screws, or glue.
Stop Creak is simple to use. Simply identify where creaks occur, apply to the groove of the floor (yes, your floor must have grooves or the product won't penetrate), and then wipe away the excess. If the squeaking in your floor is caused by the click system, then Stop Creak will immediately silence the floor. If the creaking continues, then the floor squeaks are most likely coming from the subfloor.

No. As long as you can shake a bottle you're fully qualified to go for it.
Is Stop Creak safe to use with Underfloor Heating?
Stop Creak is 100% safe to use in your home including floors with electric and water based underfloor heating.
Can you guarantee it will work on my click system floor?
No, because that would be like guaranteeing a screwdriver will fix your broken down car or that the tennis racket you bought is guaranteed to hit the ball!
Stop Creak is a lubricant and relies on the user to apply it to the area of friction.
If your squeaks and creaks come from the subfloor or underlay, then Stop Creak will probably not reduce the creaking. However, if your creaking is coming from the click system floor, the creaking wll stop immediately (and you might even hear angels singing). The reason for this is because every wood floor is unique. The combination of subfloor, underlay and floor system means that every situation is different. For this reason we developed a free sample of the product so that you can try it first. What is a "Click System" floor?
Most modern engineered wood and laminate floors use a click system that locks the planks together a bit like a giant jigsaw puzzle. Typically these are referred to as "Floating Floors" and in the Europe they are called "click system" floors. In the US this is sometimes referred to as "Woodlock" but this type of flooring goes by other names too in different parts of the world.
Stop Creak is specifically designed for these floors because these floors tend to be prone to shrinkage which causes the interlocking sections of wood to "hinge" under foot which causes the squeaks and creaks. For Stop Creak to work it must be able to penetrate between the planks and penetrate the interlocking sections that "click" together.
Does Stop Creak work on Tongue and Groove floors?

What if my floor has no grooves or visible gap between planks?
Stop Creak will not be able penetrate between the planks of your floor and will therefore be unlikely to help.
Will Stop Creak silence traditional creaky floorboards?
No. Most traditional floorboards are nailed down and so the creaking is usually down to the wood sliding up and down the nail when under load. We don't recommend Stop Creak for these floors.
Does Stop Creak work on squeaky hardwood floorboards?

Will Stop Creak work on creaky stairs?
No - Stop Creak is for click system floors only.
